A Reporter´s Case - Chapter 1 - Page 1
Let me start by telling you this. The story you are about to read was written by our creator in a deep state of meditation. His unconscious mind creates our world, and together we'll explore this massive universe and its inhabitants and mysteries. I am, of course, one of them. I won't be here for long, but I will be serving my purpose.
Hi, My name is Naomi, and I'm an intern at the local hospital. Unfortunately, I am working the night shift, so this is pretty much the only thing I'm doing these days. I don't mind the hours, I am kind of a night-owl anyway. I pretty much just get paid to sit in the lobby for a few hours every night.
It was a dark and cold night, the clock slowly passing 03:35 as the rain fell heavily outside the massive glass walls. I don't usually get this tired as I'm used to working at night by now, but this night feels different, and the weather isn't helping much either, I yawned slightly, slowly closing my eyes.
Then! The door slammed open as the thunder shook the building as I realized someone had fallen through the door.
A young, well-dressed man with an old lady next to him. The time stopped as if he was screaming for help with his eyes. He then collapsed on the floor, I hit the emergency button on my desk and rushed over to help him. The old lady grabbed my arm, pulling me close. She whispered to me: "Where is my book? "I look confused and worried back at the lady: What book? A lightning strikes, and out goes the power. Sudden darkness and not a single sound. Not even the rain.
A heavy book fell to the floor as it appeared out of thin air and a beautiful little orb was hovering over the book. The old lady whimpered out a soft laughter while reaching over to lay her hand on it. She leaned down and said: "You did good my friend. He will save you! " The sphere started glowing brighter and brighter in all kinds of colours until I had to cover my eyes. A rumble of thunder breaks the silence, and the rain sings again. The power comes back just like nothing had happened, the other responders rushing in to help out, we get them both into intensive care, and I'm baffled over what just happened.
